前結び What is a Maemusubi

だれでも簡単にきものを着られる方法として、きの和装学苑木野テル子が考案、全国に広げる。現在は、学苑長木野美千代が全国支部、生徒へ指導。

Maemusubi is an obi tied in front. For convenience, Teruko Kino is the owner of Kimono school. She invented it then it became well-known in Japan. Currently, Michiyo Kino teaches students to make a decent Maemusubi.

前結びの特徴、きものを着ることの重要性

Features of Maemusubi(front knot), the importance of wearing kimono.

手が後ろに回らない方でも楽に帯結びができます。
帯は手前で帯を見ながら作るため、曲がらない、模様がきちんと出せます。
きもの、帯を自身で装着することで締まり具合を調節ができます。
日本の芸術「きもの」を身にまとうことで日本の伝統を継承できます。
きものに必要な、帯上げ、帯締め、ぞうり、バッグ、日本の工芸芸術の素晴らしさを国内外の方に伝えることができます。

You don’t have to put your hands behind your back. You can also easily tie an obi.
Since the obi is made in the front , it’s easier to make a Maemusubi (front knot).
You can wear a kimono and adjust the tightness by yourself.
You can have a better understanding of Japanese tradition and culture by wearing “kimono”.
It’s necessary to wear kimono accessories, such as, obi sash , obi band, sandals, bags, and you may introduce Japanese handmade piece of art to everyone
